Corporate Journey

Dr. Emiliano T. Hudtohan has more than 40 years (1967- present) of combined experience in corporate management education and professorial engagements in the academe.  A former member of the board of trustees of De La Salle University and corporate values specialist, he teaches in the DBA (Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility and MBA (Business Ethics and Family Life Harmony, Strategic HR, Organization Development and Training & Development) programs at De La Salle University, Manila,  College of Business. He teaches at De La Salle Araneta University, Malabon in the Graduate School MBA and PhD in Education programs (Change and Transformation, Filipino Social Foundation, and Methods of Research).  He teaches at Far Eastern University, Makati MBA program (Social Responsibility and Good Governance and Research).  He teaches at Philippine Women’s University, Manila (PhD in Social Development).

He was a visiting professor for the De La Salle MBA Program at Maranatha Christian University, Bandung, Indonesia. He was trained in human development at the Christian Brothers Center, Sta. Fe, New Mexico, USA and a practicing value specialist.

He is co-founder and president of AcademiX2Business Consultancy, Inc. specializing in the design, implementation, and evaluation of corporate training programs. He is currently an accredited communications facilitator of Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ Managerial Skills Enhancement Program managed by De La Salle University College of Business.  He is a panelist of Police Executive Service Eligibility, National Police Commission.

He is an associate professor in Doctor of Social Development program of Philippine School of Social Work, Philippine Women’s University, Manila.  He partnered with the Dean of PWU School of Social Work to upgrade the doctor in social development (DSD) curriculum to doctor of philosophy in social development (PhD) major in social development.  He received a PWU Meritorious Achievement Award in 2009 for creative fidelity to the growth and development of the Doctor in Social Development Program.  He delivered papers on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility at a public forum in Unaaha, Konawe Province, Sulawesi, Indonesia in May 2009 and February 2011. He is member of PWU social development team tasked to educate 60,000 social workers in Vietnam from 2011 to 2020. He developed learning modules in Organization Management and International Political Geography for the Vietnamese social workers

He was in the banking sector as senior training consultant Metropolitan Bank and Trust Consultancy, Inc. and was training director and assistant to the president of Malayan Insurance Company. With banking, insurance and other service sectors, he has logged more 10,000 training hours in the conduct of management development programs for senior officers and middle managers nationwide.

He was an organization development project consultant for the strategic business development of Bureau of Corrections, New Bilibid Prisons, Muntinlupa.  He also served as program specialist and assistant project manager of USAID US$78m Integrated Area Development of the Bicol River Basin Development Program.  He was an Organization Development faculty of Graduate School of Business DBA Program of San Beda College, Manila.

He is an adviser of OFW Legacy Corporation and a volunteer for De La Salle CARE, specializing in family healing and wellness. He is an elder of Kapatiran Kay Kristo prayer group of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish, Malate.  He is a newspaper contributor for Managing Society column of The Manila Times, Opinion column of Business Mirror and Greenlight column of Manila Standard Today.

He is a regular columnist of Greenlight, Business Section, Manila Standard Today and occasional contributor in BusinessMirror and Manila Times.

Assistant Project Manager of Bicol River Basin Development Program (BRBDP)

  • Monitored the tranche disbursement for implementation of US$78 million development grant of the United States of America to the Republic of the Philippines for integrated area development in Bicol for Land Consolidation, Farm Irrigation, Secondary Road Network, Barangay Health, Lake Buhi Reforestation.
  • Coordinated with Government of the Philippines (GOP) counterpart in the procurement of commodities, local participant training, and foreign technical support for project implementation of BRBDP.
